iIt's important now more than ever to focus on better patient outcomes at lower cost.
One of the ways to do that which is being discussed heavily is implementing and early mobility protocol in Critical Care. While the benefits of mobilizing patients have shown great benefits there have also been adverse challenges with doing it. The VitalGo TLB (425lb capacity) and the TLBB (1000lb capacity) offer some new unique solutions to address the those challenges. The TLB and TLBB make it not only feasible but probable to mobilize critical care patients up to 1000lbs even when requiring mechanical ventilation.
The Total Lift Bed allows clinicians to position patients in all traditional modes; including cardiac chair position. However the TLB is the only hospital bed in the world that also allows for one very important position that consequently benefits the lungs; the standing position. The TLB's patented moving footboard actually moves to the patients feet providing support while being tilted anywhere from 0° to 82° safely and securely with one staff member; simply with the push of a button.
OOften Orthopedic patients are instructed to weight bare with various degrees of intensity.
For the first time (with the Total Lift Bed's patented Weight bearing control feature) a patient can do Bio Feedback training right on the bed. The bed scale weighs the patient's body weight and is displayed on the scale screen. There is a second scale in the moving footboard which shows the patient how much weight is being transferred to the lower extremities. Then the TLB will calculate the two readings to also give you the percentage of weight bearing.
Various cancer treatment centers in the US are finding many new ways to use the TLB for various types of treatment. While Oncology is a new area of use of the TLB and we are learning more every day we understand that it's been very beneficial for its unique abilities. One of the procedures we are familiar with that the TLB helps in is the HIPEC.
